Online Customer ID Verification

European Union banking rules require Western Union to verify the identity of customers that send money online.

Most returning Western Union online customers will get verified automatically once they have triggered the process within the customer ID status section of their profile. This process is available after 2 completed transactions.

Customers who have not been verified will be contacted by email and asked to provide additional proof of identity documents. If you receive this email, you will need to provide a copy of a photo ID and proof of address document. The email will provide specific instructions and you can learn more using one of the links below.
