Currency Index was formed in 2008 by industry experts with the intent to provide individuals and business with a superior service and competitive exchange rates, compared to what's usually offered by the high street banks and other currency companies. In 2009, Currency Index became one of the first currency brokers to become an Authorised Payment Institution under FSA regulations, and since that time they have been quoted many times in the news regarding regulation in the industry.

Currency Index operate in two sectors:

• Personal: Individual and regular payments for registered customers
• Business: Individual or regular payments for registered business customers. In addition they offer a freeconsultancy service including rate alerts, automatic buying/selling of currency at a pre-determined rate, Forward Contracts to fix exchange rates up to 2 years ahead and eliminate exposure to volatility and statements and confirmations for all transactions.
