The Swiss Franc (CHF; symbol SFr) = 100 cents (called centimes in French, rappen in German and centesimi in Italian). Although Switzerland operates its own currency it still accepts the euro. Notes are in denominations of SFr 1,000, 200, 100, 50, 20 and 10. Coins are in denominations of SFr5, 2 and 1, and 50, 20, 10 and 5 centimes.

The IBAN includes various codes, like your branch and account numbers, and is the standard system for sending payments across Europe.  Swiss IBANs have 21 characters, starting with ‘CH’ followed by 19 characters, and can usually be found on your bank statement or other paperwork, along with your BIC or SWIFT code.
